What is New Silk Road Model 2005
ITM International Top Model Co, together with Mainstream Broadcasting Corporation CHMB AM1320, proudly present Vancouver's first New Silk Road Model 2005, a competition designed to give aspiring models the opportunity to be a part of the international modeling industry. In partnership with China's largest modeling company New Silk Road Models Co. Ltd., this model search will provide aspiring models exposure to the international fashion scene and opportunities to compete in China's largest modeling competitions. Five lucky winners from North America will be flown to China to compete in New Silk Road Model International and New Silk Road Model China.


New Silk Road Model China - September 3-10, 2005 in Sanya, China
Held annually, New Silk Road Model Look is the largest model search of its kind in China. New Silk Road Model Look has produced many top models in China over the past 15 years. Each year, thousands of hopeful models sign up at regional events held all over the country. Winners from each of China's regional events compete in the New Silk Road Model Look national final. In 2004, there were 23 regional finalists. This 8-day event is a career-building experience for aspiring models. Contestants develop trade skills from industry professionals by taking part in photo shoots, interviews and workshops.


New Silk Road Model Look International - September 10-25, 2005 in Wuxi, China
The growth of Asia's fashion industry has led to a growing demand for foreign faces in modeling. For the third consecutive year, New Silk Road International has been fulfilling this demand. The competition seeks to create an international network of agencies and gives models from around the world an opportunity to explore the Asian market.

In 2004, New Silk Road Model Look International was held in one of China's most beautiful cities, Hangzhou. It featured more than 60 contestants from over 40 different countries. Last year, the extravaganza captured an audience of over 200 million viewers and was covered by 16 television stations and 52 media publications. This year, the competition will be held in Wuxi, also nicknamed as "Little Shanghai". Surrounded by mountains and water, the city is renowned for its scenery, the location of China Central Television Station's filming studios and contains the world's largest textile and clothing trade center.
